Clinical Instructor
Overview: A Clinical Instructor ("CI") is a Kois Center Mentor who has an excellent understanding of the Kois Center concepts and applies these principles in their daily practice. In addition, this person has a genuine desire to teach others, as if they were an extension of the Kois Center. This person stands out amidst the rest as truly embodying Excellence in who they are, and in what they do. It is this type of individual that inspires others and elevates the field of dentistry to a new level.
Criteria for becoming a Clinical Instructor:
- Kois Center Mentor
- CI’s are selected through a nomination & evaluation process.
Criteria for maintaining Clinical Instructor Membership:
- Attend Annual CI Meetings in conjunction with the Annual Kois Center Symposium
- Attend the Annual Kois Center Symposium every year
- Participate in Mentor Exams the day prior to the Annual Kois Center Symposium
- At least one time per year, attend course I - VIII (first-come first-serve)
- Lead and oversee the Mentors for the course
- Present a treated case
Benefits of CRE Clinical Instructor status
- Attend the Annual Kois Center Symposium
- Attend a course as a Clinical Instructor
- Attend a course as a CI Audit
*Note: A Clinical Instructor does not receive benefits of a Graduate or Mentor in addition to Clinical Instructor Benefits
