Dr. Peter S. Young
Dr. Peter S. Young, DDS, MADG, FIADFE, believes in developing a partnership with you in order to achieve optimal dental health long-term. Providing the highest quality comprehensive dental care in an ethical and conservative fashion is his number one priority. He also works closely with a team of well-qualified specialists in providing multi-disciplinary dental care.
He received the designation of MAGD, a “Master” from the Academy of General Dentistry. Less than 2% of dentists in American have this degree. The “Mastership” level requires a dentist to complete the “Fellowship” level and attend a total of 1100 hours of continue education with 400 hours being hands-on workshop in 16 difference dental disciplines. Dr. Young is also a Fellow of the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics. This means Dr. Young has been recognized by his peers as a leader and an example to other dentists in the importance of continued learning for optimal patient care.
Dr. Young earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California. In 1988, he earned his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University with Honors. Dr. Young is an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute and a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Other memberships include: American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Total Patient Service Institute (TOPS), San Gabriel Valley Dental Society, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Young feels that continual learning is vitally important in keeping pace with the latest dental developments. In fact, he attends an average of 150 to 200 hours of advanced seminars annually. Since 1988 he has completed close to 4000 hours of continuing education seminars. These seminars include subjects such as implants, cosmetics and laser dentistry.
Dr. Young is a lifetime member and is certified by the United States Dental Institute in Orthodontics since 2002. He also holds a membership in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and is a Life time Quality member of the Crown Council. He is also a graduate and a Mentor at the Kois Center, one of the most highly regarded training centers for advanced dentistry in the world. Dr. Young is a Preferred Provider for Invisalign and a Certified Fastbraces® provider.
Educating others is also one of Dr. Young’s passions. He has been an Assistant Professor since 1998 at the Division of General Dentistry School of Dentistry in Loma Linda University and Mentor of the Kois Center in Seattle.
Dr. David A. Rice
Dr. David A. Rice graduated from University of Illinois School of Dentistry. He began private practice
while serving on the University’s faculty in the Department of Oral Diagnosis. Dr Rice relocated to Elgin, IL
in 1986 to establish a General Dental practice dedicated to both Dental and General Health Wellness.
In 2013, he was inducted into the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. Dr Rice is a continual student and loves
to research and evaluate new products and techniques that improve patient care. As a Clinical Instructor at the Kois Center,
Dr. Rice appreciates his role as Clinical Specialist in evaluating products for their efficacy and efficiency.
When Dr. Rice is not dentistry-ing, he’s riding his bike. When he’s not riding his bike, he’s tinkering with his bike, or reading about bikes.
Dr. Robert K. Tang
Robert K. Tang began his journey toward becoming a dentist at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy,
graduating with honors and receiving his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1977. He then went on to study at
Boston University School of Dental Medicine, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1983. At that time
he received two distinguished awards, one from the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators and one from the American
Dental Society of Dental Anesthesiology. He maintain a private practice in Burlington MA and he is a part time
clinical instructor at Harvard University school of dental medicine.
